The important date is when the car was manufactured. If the VIN says MY2001 then the car was manufactured after the factory changed over to the new model during the summer vacations in 2000, but before the summer vacations in 2001. Btw, I don't think you need to worry. BSR will most likely request that you send them a couple of numbers printed on the old Trionic ECU.
