I have rounded off an oil drain plug before-- rather a frightening thing to have happen. The lessons learned: 1. Beware of over-torqued drain plugs 2. Use 6-point sockets whenever possible 3. The Sears bolt remover sockets ("Bolt-out") are really handy.
