It only took them 2 decades to figure out that building cars "more like the Japanese" isn't enough, the cars actually have to be reliable. The next thing they have yet to figure out is that if they design cars based on the results of focus groups, their target market will end up being all those of retirement age and they won't have anything interesting enough for the rest of us to buy..
