The SRS(airbag) light stayed on after I started the engine of my SAAB'97 SE last week. Today I sent the car to the dealership and had it checked. The error code they told me is B1227 - the SRS light is not working properly and needs to be replaced, and the cost is US$270. Anyone has any idea of this charge? I do think they asked for too much if only the light is needed to be replaced, don't you think so? I hope Steve is still round and can answer my questions - you seem an expert on this. Thank you for your ealier reply and hope you can reply again. Beside, they also told me the car has a problem of leaking engine oil that I'd never noticed before. The engine oil level is stable, and the the needle of temperature gauge always stays in the middle of the white area. I can't see any leaking oil under the car nor when open the hood. Is it really a big problem if there is a minor leaking problem and needs immediate action to deal with it? LQ
