Yes, make sure if its an automatic you get that trans checked real good.  I
have a 900s conv perchased new in 92 and I am on my 4th trans. My first one
went under the warranty back in 98 lucky for me I had a 6yr 80,000 mile
warrnty. since then the car has had 3 more transmission all covered under
the Saab good will warranty. I now have 136 k and the last trans was at
110k. this one seems ok,but I am keeping my fingers crossed.  The cost of
a new trans could even exceed the value of the car they are expensive
about 3500.00 US.  Best regards steve
