Subject: Re: SID - again

The folks from SAAB US called me back today, "we cannot do anything for you" was the response. I had actually expected that they would have done something, after all I bet a SID costs them a hell of a lot less than the $430 that they charge in the parts department. Ive decided that I am going to write a letter to the chariman of General Motors, I need some help. Anyone who has had a SID failure can you please send me an email at the below address, put "this is not spam" in the title please so the spam filter won't delete it. I'll collect up data and then send a letter. If it gets me nowhere, I may file a small claims case against the local dealer and Saab USA. Should be fun. This pisses me off, I've owned 3 saabs now, an 86 9000, a 90 9000 and now my 99 9-5. I've been pretty happy with them over the years, but not taking care of this epidemic problem is ridiculous. Even after I bit the bullet and paid for hte first SID after 5 years (Ok, things do wear out) but to have another one go bad in just over a year and then be told that there is nothing they can do? thanks everyone "Bill Jackson" <wjacksonnospamester.rr.com> wrote in message news:xr_%e.20766$K91.17069nospamter.nyroc.rr.com... > OK, so last year (June) I finally bit the bullet and went to the dealer to > have them replace the SID in my 99 9-5, it was a mess.
