I would say that all of Saab's cars up to the classic 900's at least had aspects of aircraft design. It depends how many of the engineers at Saab at the time had worked on aircraft as well. They're just trying to cash in on retro-trendyism after the car market has done a backflip and started designing vehicles that look like concept drawings of 1950's vehicles from the pre-WW2 era. I guess the US market is a bit weird because there it seems that car-mania makes anything 'retro' a Good Thing. I don't consider Saab's post-1980 'retro' yet but I suppose in 10+ years when there are a lot less C900's around they will start to get that title if retro-trendyism is still all the rage is social design circles.
