from what I've been able to see, it's not held on with conductive glue but hot bar soldered. I looked at mine under a microscope at work. It's convenient to have electronics techs working with you! The real pisser is that I finally broke down and bought a new one, $500 installed and it's been just over a year, and just out of warranty, and it's started all over again.
