I can only speak for my experience with the GM V-6 engines -they suck!!!!! They are expensive to maintain and need frequent maintenance. If you don't strictly maintain them, they break and cost even more to fix. This is from personal experience. I bought a used Saab with a GM V-6 because the price was right - the timing belt broke and it needed a new head - I wonder why????? I drove it for a a few thousand miles and the timing belt slipped. It developed a oil leak out of the top, a radiator hose clip broke and the radiator hose touched the exhaust pipe with the expected results (towing required!). If you buy this Saab with a GM V-6 I hope you have better luck. I put over 200,000 miles on my last Classic 900, so I got another Classic 900. shaker wrote: > I need to know why it would be good or bad for me to pick up a 2001 9-5 > with a V6 3.0L engine in it.
