Here in Oz, each state has a similar but different compulsory 3rd-party insurance that you must buy before registration is renewed. If you don't take out full-comp insurance as well, the price you are charged for CTP is around 175 to 250 percent higher than if you do take out full-comp insurance as well. Could that be similar to what's happening with the situation described above?
