I've whipped them off and stored them for the autumn > and winter, ready for next spring. I had a new 24v Cosworth Granada, and within 8 months the laquer had come off and corrosion was evident. Ford replaced them without question, but they went and did it again another 8 months later. On my 1960 Hillman Minx I have steel wheels wot don't kerb, corrode or bend like alloys. I reckon alloys are a con on the public. Molesworth
