Then that would be the first thing to consider, and check. Maybe the muffler touches a body part somewhere and resonates at a certain speed? I remember one of my old cars... they replaced the exhaust pipe, and all was well, UNTIL you started driving and accelerating. Then the movement of the engine made the pipe just touch the chassis, and the sound was what you describe. Its not locatable, because the whole chassis is vibrating making the sound come from "everywhere" Good luck! Richard.
