Left turning for this not well signed and just round a bend. However helpfully 200 yards before turning a farmer has a silage tanker in a field right next to the A19 with SLOW DOWN TRACTORS written on it in letters about 2 feet high! At Stokesley (Fliptop ... let me or Bonzo know if you want to meet up here, say around 11:00-11:10?) take A173 for Great Ayton then towards Guisborough. At roundabout outside Guisborough take A171 moor road signed Whitby, just around Scaling Dam (on the right) is a white road left turn to Grinkle, along it to Easington where we join the A173 coast road to Whitby. Past Boulby Mine and Staithes to Hinderwell, where we take a left turn for Runswick. Destination: 11.45-12:00 in the bay car park People from North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wearside, or further afield can meet up here. We can have a nose at SAABs, stroll on the beach, stretch legs, etc and then get on into Whitby for a late lunch ... fish'n'chips, bucket o'whelks, whatever floats your boat.
