If you have a turbo, there are some metal lines that bring oil to the turbo. The only other places I can think of a leak coming from on that side would be under the head (head gasket), the timing cover (end of the engine) the valve cover (top of the engine). I think the best course is to get some engine cleaner. Spray it all around under there then carefully wash it down. Let it dry, drive a little, locate the leak using a mirror or with the car on jack stands. Don't use a lot of water when you wash and/or keep the electronics dry (DIC on top of engine or cap/rotor if non-turbo). It's worth wrapping that stuff in aluminum foil to keep it dry. Too much water is not a good idea, especially if it gets into the DIC or other electronics. Let the engine dry completely before starting it.
