Have you considering setting base boost to the stock setting while you are chasing this problem? I also have a 1986 900 Airflow, and it has a new lower coolant hose with a Mitsubishi turbo installed. It accelerates very rapidly - no other modifications - Base Boost. That '86 runs on Regular 87 Shell fuel all the time. Good luck! Vern
