We have tried many LED and HID bulbs
THE fix is to use H-4 halogen off road legal only Ralyye bulbs 100/160 watts w/ 70 amps relays and wired direct to the battery terminals .
Yes aiming is important Also fitting the UK market light housings and lenses ( esp on the drivers side of a LHD car ) to an OG 9-3 is a great idea ! it gives a superlative beam pattern , less beam cut off.
and NO all you negative Nagging nabobs of negativism, it will NOT blind oncoming traffic JUST AIM the bloody lights properly !
this magic switch works well too ! see the UK lights are in cockpit electricly adjustable and you can fit this switch in a (now ) blanked off spot on your dash .
PS there are heaps of used OG 9-3 UK market lights available for sale in UK as LOTS of OG 9-3 saabs are parted out in UK .
sadly we need to do this as our American market lights are deficient due to ur stupid beaurocrats at the DOT who would NOT allow electricly aimed lights and mandate a severe light beam cut off but then, these idiots also mandated the dim sealed beam lights for 20 years whilst europe had halogen lights !
How many DIED overdriving their lights ?
Our DOT beaurocrats are mostly just useless, stupid unqualified pencil pushers unlike the Germans DOT who are all qualified automotive engineers !
