it is the Tesla in its many iterations !( the dual motor model 3 comes to mind ! ) it is quirky as hell ! updates at night by DL of instructions by satelite , ( the lights flash and you know ) "oh Elon sent us an update!" .OMG it will even make fart sounds (if you wish !) and it has beaten all the cool performance cars like BMW M-3 and yes even the mighty Alfa (at least up to 100 something MPH ! ) and it will lap faster tho you feel it's bulk ! Issue is the 70K+ $ price w/ all the goodies but OMG it is cheap to run ! And maintenance is simple and inexpensive! Even uber/ lYft drivers can even make a living in one ! -
Get solar panels on your house like we did and it REALLY makes sense != FREE !
PS As a confirmed performance gearhead , I just wish batteries did not weigh so much ! And sometime in the future there WILL be what we need ! A manhattan project level Research project spend of $ to invent super batteries that are LIGHT ! And have the superlative chemistry needed for density and longevity, THEN ! we will trully have it ALL .
