1996 Saab 900 Convertible Press Info
SAAB FOR 1996 -The elegant Saab 900 Convertible is engineered from the
ground up as an open-top sports car, and built on a dedicated assembly line
in Finland. Every Saab soft-top incorporates Saab's renowned safety
features and structural integrity, including 5-mph bumpers that were the
only ones to sustain zero dollar front and rear impact damage during recent
IIHS testing. Three Saab engine options are available: a 1 85-hp Turbo
4-cylinder, a 150-hp normally aspirated 4-cylinder and a 170-hp V6. Unlike
many of its competitors, Saab soft-tops feature a heated glass rear window,
a fully automated power top and leather upholstery in even its
lowest-priced variant, the Saab 900S Convertible. For 1996, all Saab 900
models include new adjustable driver's seat lumbar support and a full-width
rear reflective panel that matches the color and pattern of the taillights.
