Swedish Auto Factory Celebrates 25th Anniversary

6/03

(SANTA CLARA, CALIFORNIA) June 5, 2003 - Swedish Auto Factory, located at 1170 Martin Avenue in Santa Clara, is celebrating their 25th anniversary as an independent repair and service facility specializing in Saabs and Volvos.

"We're grateful for our customers' loyalty over the years," said Swedish Auto Factory founder Paul Perry. "About 85% of our business is from returning customers'largely because we do dealership-quality work at up to a third less than the dealerships charge."

The company also prides itself on providing better customer service than dealership service departments. "We realize our customers have a choice, so we work hard to earn their business," said Perry. "Our technicians have an average of eight years of dealership service department experience. And we use the latest diagnostic and repair equipment, including Tech 2 diagnostics."

But, Perry says, Swedish Auto Factory goes the extra mile. "We've installed 'WiFi' wireless networking technology in our waiting room so our customers can be productive while we work on their vehicles." Perry continued, "And to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we're offering all new and returning Saab and Volvo customers a free 40-point vehicle inspection with any service." Details of the limited-time offer are available by calling (408) 241-SAAB.

A Saab enthusiast since the early 1960s, Perry has several vintage Saabs on display at Swedish Auto Factory. In addition to collecting and restoring the vintage cars, Perry is active in vintage racing with the Historic Motor Sports Association (HMSA) and the Classic Sport Racing Group (CSRG). He recently completed the renovation on a Saab that was raced in the 1960s and held the track record for its class at Laguna Seca, a road course located in Monterey, California. Perry located the original driver, Stan Laskin, who raced the restored car again at Laguna Seca in October, 2002. Perry and Laskin hope to return to Laguna Seca when the 2003 season of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) commences this fall.

Swedish Auto Factory is located at 1170 Martin Avenue in Santa Clara. Business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays. Customers can call (408) 241-SAAB for an appointment, or contact the facility online.
