Synthetic oil may actually help your turbo. It tends to clean out the bearings and make them better, not worse. Using synthetic in an older motor that has never had it before _may_ result in leaks. Some do, some don't. It is a risk if the motor has higher miles. If you don't get any leaks, it can only help you. Bob
