I've run them all through the years and my wife & I each drive 25k/year in snow country with a driveway like a luge run. Hakkas are great and the Alpins we inherited sucked. I worked next to a truck tire place that handled Nokias and took care of cars that they knew kind of on the side. I used their Nokias for quite a few years but slowly changed over to Wintermarks or some of the other types that are much less expensive and work just as well. My opinion is that tread depth rules. Worn snows from anybody won't get you out so it seems less painful to pay less and change them more often... C.
