I think it is a shame that GM took over Saab. These cars were known to last for ever, and now everybody is having mechanical problems starting at relatively low milage. Some of the generic design related problems are not being aliviated over the years. SAAB did not need neither the LOUSY PRODUCT DIVERSITY [new 92s(I would rather buy a cheaper Subaru) and 97s[an expensive Trail Blazer, which is an outdated SUV)] that GM contributed, nor the lousy GM parts (especially cheap plastic). Have one good and reliable model rather than 3-4 lousy models. I think a good brand name is worth alot more than what would GM ever give to SAAB. Since GM bought SAAB I think the execelent Saab image is going downhill and devouted Saab drivers (not customers) are being replaced by a new customer base. I am driving my second Saab (99,9-3), but I do not know if I will buy a newer Saab. I am curious if anybody from SAAB in Sweden bothers reading the postings here and feel sad.
