If the tread is close, then you should swap front to back. Don't have them remounted or anything...you're likely to do more harm than good in the long run. Rotating with directional tires just means swapping front to back.
The point is that if you have some 1/2 worn tires and some brand new ones, you should put the new ones in the back. Otherwise, you should swap front to back every 5 or 10,000 miles to keep them wearing evenly.
