I wasn't going to reply because these guys apparently have no experience driving the tires. I have one set that's been on for ~35K now and thru two winters on Long Island. Having grown up Upstate, I can attest that 12" of snow on LI is no different than 12" in Albany, or Saranac Lake or Bennington, VT. And in the ten years I've been here we've seen several 15"+ and even a 22" storm.
Having now finished their second (and last) winter season I'm happy to report that altho they don't quite have the bite they did last year when they were new, they remain a very predictable tire on snow covered roads and much quieter than the OEM Michelins. These are truely a four season performance tire that do extremely well in the snow and rain.
