I bought the ContiExtremeContacts to replace Michelin Pilot All seasons on my '99 9.3SE. Their softer sidewalls make for a cushy ride over city streets and potholes, but are not as precise as the Pilots when hard charging (not bad, just not nearly as stiff). Wet and snow traction is excellent for an all-season tire- better than the Pilots. Dry traction was superior in Pilot form.
I figure that any tire with a V rating is built pretty heavily, and I have had no balance or treadware problems. I would recomend them-especially for the price- if you value ride quality and bad-weather handling over stiff responsiveness and dry-weather handling. These are a tire to go to Tahoe with- nice highway ride and good snow/rain grip. They will not handle like summer tires on the coast road. Oh- and they have a cross-textured sidewall which lsn't as pretty as your P6s. I like 'em a lot, though.
Good Luck,
IC
