The main differences that I can list off the top of my head:
- two-toned seats with side bolsters in Aero
- stock trunk lid spoiler on Aero
- metallic trim in Aero vs wood trim in Arc
- 17" wheels and sport suspension in Aero vs 16" and cushier suspension in Arc
- low, easily scraped front spoiler on Aero

I have an Aero and love it but suspect that I would have been just as happy with a bit softer ride, perhaps 17" wheels without the sport suspension in an Arc. The ride is not harsh by any means but you do feel the bumps on the city streets - many have gotten some relief with a slight downgrade from the stock tires. The front spoiler can be a pain but fortunately lacks the long nose on a Viggen or 9-5 Aero which exacerbates the clearance problems. The seats are a definite improvement over the Arc's as far as at least a bit of lateral grip when going through the twisties. As it is the best part, the 2.0T engine, is the same in both cars. If you wait for a 2006 allegedly you'll be able to get the 250HP V6 turbo which, unless you are just dying for a new car, I'd probably wait for at this point.
