Our '04 9-3SS Linear's SID has been stuck on "Trip Computer Cleared" now for nearly a week. My wife's usual practice upon filling up is to reset the gas mileage reading. Last week, the SID became stuck, and as noted in some posts from a year or more ago, this status message prevents the radio station from being displayed along with any other trip computer-related settings. And as also noted by a previous poster, the turn signal sound disappears some of the time, maybe induced by my fruitless scrolling of the SID display while the turn signal is on.

Previous postings matching "Trip Computer Cleared" did not reveal a real fix. One mentioned the problem going away; one mentioned the dealer disconnecting the battery for a hard reset; one said he had to hard reset a couple of times.

My wife's dealer did not bother to do a hard reset. They are ordering a new SID/computer unit (thankfully under warranty). Has anyone else experienced this problem lately?
