I've read several posts from people who have seemed to have ths same problem that I have, but I haven't seen that they were resolved. I have a 2003 9-3 with about 25k miles on it. For the past 2 months, my SID has displayed traction control malfunction and stability control malfunction. I have taken it to my Saab dealer twice now. The last time they replcaed the stability control unit, whatever that is. About a week later the lights came on again. They would disappear if I shut down the car, but then come back on after driving for a few minutes. Most recently, the warnings were displayed, followed by a gearbox malfunction message. At that point I was in a parking lot, and the car would not shift out of first gear. AFter shutting the car down, I could not get it to restart. It would not even turn over. I had it towed to the dealer, where it has been for three days, and they still do not know what the problem is. To those who have experienced similar problems, should I just get rid of it now? Keep in mind that I love how it drives, looks, handles, etc...
