and assuming it's a reasonably flexible mattress, I don't see why not. You'd have to measure the opening left when you fold the rear seats down, but I'm able to easily fit my 6' snowboard bag into the car this way and don't even have to disturb the position of the passenger seat. You just want to be careful not to be too rough on the speaker wires in the back.
