For those interested:
I previously owned a 99 9-3 base. The new car is significantly more fun to drive. I got a silver one, sentronic transmission, launch package, touring package, full Vector body kit (arrives soon). I've been very happy so far with the 03. There are two anomalies in case anyone else runs across them too:
- The On Star system is not installed yet (the dealer said March). The button area for it on the dash is just blanked out. Not sure why this was, considering the Linear Sport Launch 5-speed also at this dealer had the On Star buttons already.
- The Linear Launch package + touring comes with the "Premium" sound system. This is supposed to be the 13-speaker high end system. My car has the 7-speaker system, but it has the 6-disc in dash system. Not sure why I only got 1/2 of the premium system. The dealer is looking into it.
I would be pleased to answer any questions on my new car, especially in comparison to the old 9-3 (having owned one).
