There could be several different causes:
1. In general, some of the electronic modules in a car only get power when the key is on, but other modules are in a sleep mode when the car is parked. They do, however, draw a small amount current even when sleeping. This could be in the micro-Amp to milli-Amp range. From what I understand, the 93SS has a large number of modules, so the sleep current can add up. It could be that one module is defective and drawing too much current. It could also be that all your modules are within spec, but tend to the higher side of normal. You might want to have your car checked to measure the current draw from the battery while the car is off.
2. It could be that the new battery was not particularly strong or of a high quality. Two years is low, but not unheard of.
3. If you do mostly short trips, then your battery doesn't get charged as much.
4. Very cold and very hot climates are tough on batteries.
You could buy a trickle charger if you are leaving the car in a garage at home while on vacation. Personally, it would bother me to leave this unattended. You could also disconnect the battery while you are away. You would probably have to reset your radio settings, etc.
