I have 15" on my 2002 9-5. The teller tire is very good protection against potholes that are so prevalent , and well hidden, in the. It is my understanding that when it comes to width narrow is better for traditional type snow tires but when it comes to the new breed of "ice" tires , then width is not so relevent, I even had a Nokian rep tell me not to go to a narrower tire since it woulkd not be as effective. I will always use as small adiamter rim as I can for snow tires. Brake size usually is the limiting factor in how small you can go.
