If you want to feel more of a turbo rush and average around 27 mpg, go with the 2.0 T. If you want more smoothness and torque at lower revs, but don't mind averaging closer to 23 mpg, go with the V6.
As for durability, I don't think it's an issue either way. The 2.0 T has been used in the 9-3 for a longer time so I would think more of the kinks have been worked out. The V-6 is new to Saab in 2006.
I have the 2.0 T SC, and I'm generally happy with it. It's a little rough when you get close to 3,000 rpm in 1st gear, but it moves well on the highway, especially once you get past 2500 rpm.
Other considerations are snow driving (will probably need snow tires and there is low ground clearance on the Aero). Ride is a little firmer on the Aero, but handling a bit better too.
Either way, it will be good for you to join the 9-3 SportCombi club which seems to be somewhat small so far.
