Have the dealer do all work during warranty period.... I have always had the dealer do all repairs and maintenance during the warranty period. That way there is no possibility of the dealer blaming the owner or independent mechanic for overlooking an item or misadjusting something.
Going to the dealer is typically more expensive and often less convenient that DIY or using an independent. It comes down to paying more for service at the dealer or having a possible fight in the future over a warranty item.
