I have a 2004 Arc- purchased one year ago this month as a used car with 22000 on it. I have put 10,000 miles on it and each time I drive it I am impressed with the handling and comfort. I never have to hunt for the right gear when I shift - it is almost effortless, yet I feel really connected to the whole driving experience. A petty annoyance I have with the car is that the glove box is so deep, I can't get items out of it when I am in the drivers seat. Probably someone taller would not find it to be an issue.
One repair I had to get done was a snapped coil spring. I thought that was a bit unusual. Key remotes were replaced, altho I had had no trouble with them - same with the reprogramming of the sunroof.
With the great information here on this board, and positive experiences at the dealer I am taking it to for warranty work, (plus a couple of reliable independent mechanics available) I feel I got an amazing car for the money.
