The street start is designed to be a little bit more of a real world start. No rpm clutch dropping hysterics to get the fastest start, just floor the gas with the car rolling at 5 mph until it hits 60. This also take the wheel spin/launch variable out of the equation. It really is a measure of how fast the car will accelerate after the wheels "hook up". FWIW
