Just got my 2006 WIS.... Posted by MI-Roger [Email] (#882) [Profile/Gallery] (more from MI-Roger) on Wed, 11 Oct 2006 05:21:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
After finally getting comfortable with the format and task classifications used by Saab in my 1998-2001 9-5 WIS (i.e. belt tensioner and pulleys are in the electrical section because they drive the alternator) I now have a new challenge with my 2003-2006 9-3SS&SC Workshop Information System CD.
Of particular note is the instructions on checking oil level in the automatic transmission. I haven't yet been able to locate the tranny dipstick in my car, I read a post on at least one Saab owner BB stating that these trannys are sealed units with no means of checking or adding fluid, yet the WIS shows an illustration of the dipstick with full instruciton on checking, adding, draining fluid. No illustration of where this dipstick is located though.
Looks like I will be spending time getting familiar with the contents of this CD on the upcoming winter evenings. BTW - since Saab doesn't sell this CD in the US, all English iinstructions are written in UK English. I immediately noticed the use of "petrol", still looking for spanners, bonnet, boot, wings, etc., in the CD.
