Automobile mag's four-season 9-3 review

Hello Saab fans. Why do I keep doing this to myself? I'm married to a dull, competent, moderately attractive Honda Accord, but this is the season when Saab dealers are trying to unload their toothsome '06 9-3s with 0% financing and alleged "employee pricing." I'm feeling the urge to cheat. Is it really so wrong to want to drive really fast in a weird half-Swedish stickshift with lots of extraneous buttons--even if I can't really afford it?
Now then: I've got friends who are members of the Cult of Saab, and I know that whining about reliability is grounds for expulsion (apparently it's on page 252 of the 9-3's owners manual). Real Saab fans cruise garage sales in their spare time, hunting for spare Direct Ignition Cassettes or whatever. OK, fine. But the GM automatons who robbed us all of the dork-friendly performance hatch concept (RIP) now also appear to be selling Saabs with a Hyundai-like warranty package. So maybe I'm not as irresponsible as I think I am.
Anyway, here are my questions, for your consideration:
1. For you 2006 owners with a warranty, are you regularly given a courtesy car when you go in for repairs? Or is that something new with the 2007 warranty package?
2. For the love of Christ, have you people read this thing?:

Warranty aside, would someone please post a happy story about getting to 30k miles without your 9-3's windows falling off? If not, y'all can bury me in my Honda with my actuarial tables, my subscription to Consumer Reports, and my grandpa-friendly Sansabelt slacks.
3. On an unrelated matter, how's rear legroom in the 9-3 sedan? Do any of you tall drivers use a child seat? How is it for adults? Should I stick an in-flight magazine back there just to complete the kneecap-crushing commercial airline experience? Or is it OK to stuff a couple of adults back there for a trip across town?
Thanks in advance!
