AUX Input // Tech II Procedure

I have spoken with both my local indie and the service dept. at a local Saab dealer and neither are familiar with the procedure by which the Stereo AUX input is turned on.
The dealer, the dealer, no surprise, wants to charge my $50 while the indie will do it at no charge. To make it easier on my indie I'd like to provide instructions for the procedure (not connecting the tool, of course, but navigating the menu tree once the scanner is talking to my car). Can anyone familiar with this please describe?
Many thanks!
