It really is hard to have both since most dedicated high performance tires have tread patterns that are not at all suited for use in even light snow. I went through five different sets of dedicated high performance tires on my last 2002 9-5 Aero, and only one of them, the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S had the designation of all season. They were at best marginal in the lightest of snow and did not last any longer than any of the other brands I tried. Goodyear Eagle F-1 GS-D3 might be the most performance you can get, but look at them crosseyed and you will see the tread melting off before your eyes. 12-15 K miles maximum. I put a set of Avon M550 tires on the 9-5 before trading it in and they were the best I had ever used on the car. Tires, like oil, are a very subjective issue, but I feel safe in advising you that you are unlikely to get both ultra high performance and all season use in a single tire. I now have the same car as you, but have Bridgestone Revo 1 snows on it for the winter and will go back to those same Continentals you have after the winter. Living in New England,I find that dedicated seaasonal tires works best. Good luck.
