TJ,
I know the cars are very similar but the SC does have a different interior construction...though it appears to use many of the same materials etc, however, given the history of the SS, the different configuration of things made me concerned about rattles and things that might have bugs. Also, I heard hydraulics for the tailgate are designed to be a major hassle to fix and hearing a few scary stories about early SS conv. hydraulics failing and squirting oil all over the interior of the car made me shy away from any SAAB engineered hydraulics. The SC also cost about $1000 dollars more when I was looking so that really put the nail in it (a base 2.0T was already stretching my "willingness to pay" so didn't want to stretch more).
Now, you may be thinking that I'm excessively paranoid (and you would be right when it comes to buying a car) but remember....just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get me. ;)
