If you really short-shift and use a lot of in-gear coasting, you can probably do better, plus your car still needs to get broken in. I have a 5 spd. manual 2.0 T and I have averaged 27.8 mpg (calculated) over 1 1/2 years with about 40% highway driving. This includes use of snow tires for 4+ months, 17" tires for 6 months.
In the city, I rarely go lower than 24 mpg or so, but on the highway, that 5th gear forces the engine to spin 2450 rpm at 70 mph so that hurts my highway fuel economy relative to the 6 spd manual (2325 rpm with your car in 6th), and even the 5 spd automatic, (2250 rpm in 5th).
