Hello Everybody
thank you for your answers.
As for the emission and problems with the registration - that is the best part. In my country, Serbia which is still not EU, the law is that you must have Euro 3 standard of emission to import a car. But, I plan to drive this car with the US licence plates, since I am US resident, and none of those requirements would apply for me since I would be regarded as a tourist. On top of this, I am escaping the 50% tax and customs duties, that you have to pay when importing and registering the car.
As for the warranties and Euro/US model compatibility, do you think that they make different parts for different markets? I mean I know that many manufacturers do, but all Saabs are manufactured in Sweden? Am I right? I'll have to check that one with the dealer here. However, good thing is that the labor there is much much cheaper than what the mechanic would charge in the US.
Finally Mike, what would you recommend? Linear, Arc, or Aero (US location does not matter that much)??
Thanks a lot!
