Some of these replies piqued my curiosity about how the tests are run, especially the comments about 2.0t vs. 2.0T If you look at the city and highway test cycles used for ratings, the acceleration rates are very very slow. So, in reality, no boost is used. Therefore, it is not a surprise that the official numbers are similar for the two turbos. However, if you have a heavy foot, and accelerate hard, the car with the faster 0-60 time will have to get worse mileage (basic F=m*a, you have to pay the piper somewhere). So, real world comments from drivers of t's and T's are very much impacted by how they drive. I am sure that is possible for a T driver to get better mileage than a t driver just depending on how heavy their foot is. I won't even try to comment on how octane factors in, as that is a little more complicated.
