Great Brits is the closest location for me. They are very nice people in the service department, they really couldn’t be nicer, always a loaner available if desired and needed most of the time! I find they simply don’t know my model well at all. More often than not they can't see the problem. They always need to order parts, which requires a second trip. They do one thing and undo something else at the same time if it involves programming. Most recently the tech had no idea how the premium radio functions worked. I had to demonstrate the system for him to show them that three functions did not work and that was after they stated they had fixed the problem. Rear window groans when lowering with the top. They grease it getting grease all over the weather stripping, they have done this 3 times and w/in two weeks the window groans again. I am just waiting for it to fall off the track as reported in other posts. They fix things through process of elimination, part swapping. This past week they installed an EHU, this after they changed out the radio that apparently wasn’t the cause of the problem. The EHU was defective, took a week to get a second one installed, end result half of the radio function returned but I lost high beams as a result. They screwed up the EHU programming.
It is like on the job training for their techs. at a $120/ hr labor rate I want a master tech to work on my car not a wrench turner in training. Their sales person was less than honorable, their general manager so it seems is a stand up guy. Does the car run well, darn right it does, clearly one of the most pleasurable cars to drive and I want it to stay that way. Mechanically it has been flawless, runs like a scalded cat. To a fault the car is over engineered and I don’t think they have mastered the learning curve to deal with the technology or idiosyncrasies built into the car.
