Have read various posts about problems with my year/model, etc. (2003, 9-3 Linear) I'm starting to have some problems, all within 2 days.
Last night pulled over by cop, lights to license plate not working. Today, noticed the gasoline meter worked for about 30 seconds after cranking up the car, then the meter would just stop working, falling down as if i was out of gas. (I just filled up 2 days ago and have driven less than 20 miles)
What was so frustrating was my experience at the auto parts place. no Saab dealer within 90 miles. I first replaced the two light bulbs, they did look burned out, so easy enough, put new ones in. Didn't fix it. I then just bought and replaced a couple fuses...but before putting the new fuses back in, I closed the trunk. That was my stupidity. I had to pry open the back seat and use a long tool to reach the emergency escape latch (in case someone is trapped in the trunk) to finally open the truck door, then put in the two new fuses. What an idiot I felt like. Oh well. So, no fixed license plate lights until I can go out of town...
In addition to these thing I've also been experiencing problems with the transmission. Though I took it to Saab, I was brushed off, they couldn't reproduce it. It's now more common, though I also can't reproduce it. Here are posts giving good examples of my problems....
