Front end noise on 2003 9-3 - update with repair

I had posted about a month ago with a question about noise coming from the front wheels of my 2003 9-3 Linear. It was making woo-woo sound at 30+ MPH as well as clicking ball-bearing type of sound at lower speed. After replacing 4 tires (probably had another year left) based on dealer's diagnosis, and noise still being there, my last visit to the shop has resulted in the replacement of both front bearings and some re-shaping of rear brakes(?). I had forgotten how quiet the car was! Thankfully it was covered under the warranty - you have to love that CPO warranty - now with 81K miles.
I own 3 Saabs now - 2000 9-3SE (52K miles), 2003 9-3 Linear (82K miles) and 2007 9-3 SportCombi (9K miles). 2003 has given me the most problem, but so far the CPO warranty has covered the cost. The other two have been trouble free. 2003, however, has had a number of issues. This particular visit started with the engine light coming on. They replaced some vacuum pump parts, replaced wheel bearings, replaced windshield moulding, replaced light bulbs, replaced some seat parts. I imagine that if I had to pay for it, it would have been well over $1000. A big question will be what to do with it once the warranty expires. I have replaced pretty much everything in the car, so it may be as good as new...
