Thanks, and you're right Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Sun, 8 Jun 2008 17:00:00 In Reply to: Re: How to reassemble the center vent???, DonaldM, Sun, 8 Jun 2008 13:55:53 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Interestingly enough, it was truly not my doing that the vent fell apart. I believe it was never put together properly because I took great pains NOT to loosen the wrong clips. When I tugged on it, it simply fell apart.
And you're right, I lost one of those little springs and it took me a while to figure out what was going on, but everything's back in the car using a paper clip as a spring.
Still, what a horrible design. Maybe if the vent never had to come out, this would all make sense. But since removal of the vent is the only way to get the radio out, it makes no sense.
I'm having alot of buyers remorse these days...wondering if I should have wiggled back into a 9-5 or an Acura TL. I still love Saab and always will (this is Saab #10), but the 9-3 leaves alot to be desired. I think the mechanicals and the body are great, but the interior and electronics integration aren't.
Next will be learning the Parrot 6100....
Thanks.
