Well, now Infotainment (NAV) is on the fritz Posted by Saabpilot [Email] (#134) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Saabpilot) on Tue, 2 Dec 2008 19:09:32 In Reply to: My own experience installing tires with no sensors, Saabpilot [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 30 Nov 2008 19:36:48 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
My Saab "Infotainment" radio / GPS unit totally went on the fritz today, so I'll probably have the TPS disabled when I am forced to go to the dealer to get the radio replaced.
For a few weeks it would occasionally reset itselt to an FM radio station. On a 300 mile round trip today, it was losing stations, resetting itself, losing XM radio time and time again, and then on the way home tonight, at night, the display jacked itself up to maximum intensity daytime mode. Even trying to use the manual adjustments, it was still really bright. No question it needs to be replaced.
And yes, the tire sensors were $91 EACH. Yuk.
Drivers have survived for many years without TPS. I don't need them!
