Sounds like the salesperson is just trying to get you on the lot for his real sales pitch. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, etc.
A couple of points:
1) Let's consider the Aero on the lot for $35K. Take off about 9% to get to invoice (~31,850K) and then apply the 'incentives' for 2008 models which are 0% financing + $1000 owner loyalty OR $4000 + $1000 owner loyalty (you can't have 0% and the $4000). Taking the bigger cash incentive gets you to $26,850, which is about $8150 off sticker (23%).
2) I seriously doubt you'd get $7K in trade for a 2003 with 105K. I think you're looking at more like $3000-$3500. They're not going to keep it on their lot -- they're going to sell it to a used car dealer who'll sell it to someone else for, maybe, $7K.
3) Unless there's some huge marketing support I haven't found, I think you're still looking at mid-20K plus tax and license. If you think you want the new Aero, sell your '03 yourself and then go in and deal.
